Targhee/ nylon SW sock yarn "fall leaves"
Targhee is a wonderful wool to wear next to the skin. It was developed in Idaho in the 50s from Rambouillet, Corriedale, and Lincoln sheep and is fine 21-25 microns.
This yarn is grown and processed in the US and I dye it. After dyeing the yarn fulled quite a bit and I think it will make some very comfy socks.
Each skein has:
about 455 yards
3ply yarn
4 ounces
90% super wash Targhee wool
10% nylon
100% made in the USA
gauge, about 7-7.5 sts/ inch
Machine washable, I was with like colors on cold. I usually air dry my socks.
The color is "Fall Leaves", it has red, bronze, wine red, tan, brown, and a greenish color. The skeins can look quite different. I compare the photos to the yarn in front of me and do the best to see that it matches. My monitor and your monitor may not show color in the exact same way.
